Project overview
The product:
Arsor.com is a complete e-commerce website which sells apparels, electronics and other needs. This site is for the age group in between 16 to 60 year olds. Arsor.com’s goal is to keep the experience smooth and easily understandable
The problem:
Existing e-commerce websites have cluttered designs for browsing through products, and have a really complex checkout process.
The goal:
Arsor.com will be user friendly and minimal by providing clutter free navigation and user friendly checkout process.
My role:
Lead UX Designer for the Arsor.com website design.
Responsibilities:
Conducting Interviews, creating paper and digital wireframe, low fidelity and high fidelity prototyping, iterating on designs and responsive design.
User research
Summary:
With the help of interviews I have conducted I was able to understand and fell user pain points and it immensely generate empathy maps. I also got to know that many people do online shopping as a fun hobby and a way to relieve stress from work. But many websites are not user friendly designed and have a lot of content cluttered which makes the excitement of the user vanish.
Pain points:
Because of the cluttered arrangement of content, navigation among pages is a bit confusing and stressful.
The websites are not user engaging or friendly.
The checkout process of many websites are complex and especially confusing for people with disabilities and elder people.
